Tahoe Chocolate and Wine Festival Benefits Sierra Community House (formerly Tahoe SAFE Alliance)
It gives us great joy to be able to bring our supporters together for an evening full of fun & entertainment, chocolate & wine tasting, scrumptious appetizers by Hyatt chefs, and tantalizing prizes in a silent and live auction on Friday, November 2, 2019 from 6:00-10:00 pm at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, NV.
Sierra Community House was established on July 1, 2019 from four long-standing non-profits that make up the safety net for the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee communities. Combined we have served our community for over 50 years! Our mission is to connect and empower our community through family strengthening, crisis intervention, hunger relief and legal services.
The Tahoe Chocolate and Wine Festival will continue to fund vital programs for survivors of domestic and sexual violence as in the past including support for the Mt. Rose Safe House, advocacy, and the community’s only 24-hour Crisis Line. But now your support will be leveraged to make a bigger impact. Every dollar that we raise will touch more lives, effect more change, and build more healthy foundations for the future.
Money raised from this year’s festival will support vital programs in your community, including:
- 24-hour crisis line
- Mt. Rose Safe House
- Support services for survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and child abuse
- Comprehensive Children’s Program
- Legal advocacy and mediation
- Violence prevention and education to local schools and businesses
- Nutrition education
- Hunger relief and food distribution
- Free dental clinics
- Mental wellness programs
- Parent education
- Financial coaching
